Antique whale engraving

Set in a beautiful chippy French antique gilt wood frame sourced in Paris, featuring a rare Rostrated Whale hand colored copper plate engraving from George Shaw & Frederick Nodder's The Naturalist's Miscellany. The work was published in London between 1789 and 1813. The engraving features beautiful, original hand-coloring.
